CHINWE EGWIM

Chinwe Egwim is a professional Economist that has 500+ published economic notes geared towards macro, development and financial economics. She is currently the Chief Economist at Coronation Merchant Bank.

Chinwe was appointed as a National Consultant by the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa to lead the services trade project which is partly driven by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development. Her contributions have also supported high-level committees’ setup by global development agencies. She has been included to IMF Article IV consultations, AfDB annual meetings and as a member of the Board committee on Research at the NESG. In 2021, she became Resident Economist for the research-based initiative, AiR – Africa Investment Roundtable.

She is a highly sought after thought leader and has spoken at, as well as delivered keynotes on several reputable platforms and expert panels. Her TEDx talk on Equipping the Female Economy has contributed to conversations around lifting women. On print, her views around economic trends are featured across media platforms – Chinwe’s article on the AfCFTA and Women was published by the World Economic Forum. She provides expert advice around economic trends on news channels such as CNBC Africa and the BBC.

Chinwe’s book- Understanding Economic “Jargon” has ranked as a bestseller on Amazon. It breaks down how economic indicators and the investment climate react to economic shocks and upswings.

Chinwe is an advocate for women empowerment. In 2020, Chinwe was appointed as an Executive Council Member of Women in Management, Business and Public Service (WIMBIZ).

She has received reputable recognitions and awards for her work as an Economist and Advocate for Women Empowerment. Some of which include:
• Recognised as one of the Most Influential People of African Descent (MIPAD) 100 under 40 in support of the UN International Decade for People of African Descent.
• Listed as one of the 100 most inspiring Nigerian women by Leading Ladies Africa.
• Recognised as a leading woman in banking by the Association of Professional Women Bankers.
• Won the HER Network Career Woman of the Year 2018.
• Featured on the cover pages of multiple business-driven magazines.

Chinwe is on the Executive Council of Africa Policy Conversations and an Advisory Board Member of Bookings Africa, 9 to 5 Chick and The Women International. Chinwe is a Founding Partner of DAS Hub Africa. She is a mentor to young professionals and a resource person for impact-driven initiatives geared towards Africa.

LINUS OKORIE

Linus Okorie is a member of faculty at the GOTNI Leadership Centre. Linus Okorie is a renowned leadership development coach and human capital development consultant. For over 20 years, Linus has been known as a relentless icon in the quest for good leadership in public and corporate governance in Nigeria. His vast experience in leadership coaching, mentoring and advocacy across the world for over two decades has distinguished him as a trusted name in leadership excellence.

He is the Founder and President, Guardians of the Nation International (GOTNI), a leadership development non-profit organization, which has developed 15 leadership brands to train and nurture youths, elected officials and the general public on effective leadership skills and values. Consistently, Linus Okorie has carved a niche as an authority in leadership development with a career development path defined by the principles of selfless service, dignity and integrity.

Since inception, Linus Okorie has piloted GOTNI to become Nigeria’s foremost leadership capital development organization including the establishment of GOTNI Leadership Centre (GLC) in Jabi, Abuja. He is currently working towards building the much anticipated Global Leadership Centre at the Oguta lake, Imo State where excellent leaders will be groomed for the growth and development of Nigeria and the African continent. He is the West African representative of Adair International, United Kingdom. He has inspired over 300,000 people across Nigeria and Africa who have directly gone through his leadership programmes, and millions through radio and television. As an influential speaker, Linus Okorie has graced many live conferences, radio and television platforms across Africa, Middle East, Europe and USA as guest speaker, trainer and advisor. He is a regular guest in many print and electronic media, radio and television platforms across Nigeria. He is a radio and television presenter and host of Leadership Clinic on AIT. He is the author of “Footprints: Leading Beyond Today” a book already in the world market, which was forwarded by Dr. Myles Munroe.

He attended Government Secondary School, Owerri, Imo State where he became the Senior Prefect of his school. He is a graduate of History and International Relations at Imo State University where he served as the first elected Students Union Government President and later did his National Youth Service with the National Assembly, Abuja after which he proceeded to carry out a research in his area of passion: “Leadership Development” at the Lagos Business School. Linus Okorie has a Masters degree in Organizational Leadership from Regent University, Virginia Beach, USA. He is an alumnus of the International Visitors Program (IVLP) sponsored by the US government under the Department of State – a programme which has produced 300 presidents of various countries since its inception. Linus Okorie is also an alumnus of the Executive Leadership Education programme of Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government, Boston, USA with a certification in The Act and Practice of Leadership Development. In recognition of his exceptional contributions to leadership development, he has recently bagged 2 honorary doctoral degree awards and was inducted into the College of Fellows at the African Business School. He is board member of Imo State University alumni and many others.

Linus hails from UmuEzike-egbu, Egbuoma in Oguta Local Government Area of Imo State. He is married to Nkiru with whom he has two daughters Ebubechukwu, Chimamaka and a son Chukwuebuka.

SOLA ADESAKIN

Sola Adesakin is a Global Personal/ Business Finance Coach and Chartered Accountant with over 20 years of hands-on experience.

She is passionate about helping people understand the “make-manage-multiply money” message, maximize their resources, achieve their crucial financial milestones and build true wealth, through the concept of financial planning.

Through the Smart Stewards Financial Advisory Limited; a holding company that owns The Smart Investment Club, The Smart Stewards Academy, Booksmart Financial Solutions and other subsidiaries, Sola has helped many people; young and old as well as businesses in over 30 countries, currently in about a 10,000-member community, bounce back from financial stress to rest, from debt to wealth to living amazing lives.

She is an author of currently 8 published books and several unpublished articles. She has been featured in many local and global articles including Yahoo Finance, Business Day, Tribune, Guardian, Punch and many more.

She is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria( ICAN), Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants of the United Kingdom (ACCA), Member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada and she holds BSC and MBA degrees from the Oxford Brookes University and Edinburgh Business School, United Kingdom respectively. She is also a Certified Financial Education Instructor.

Sola was recognized as one of Nigeria’s 100 most inspiring women in 2020 and has won many awards in recognition of her job in the Finance and Business Industry. She continues to leverage global alliances and partnerships to demystify and amplify the money message around the world.

She is happily married and currently lives and serves individuals and organizations globally from her base in Lagos, Nigeria.

IFE DUROSINMI-ETTI

Ifedayo Durosinmi – Etti is a sales and marketing expert with over 10 years of management and leadership experience working in the fashion, marketing and manufacturing Industries. She holds a first degree in Biochemistry and an MBA in Global Business.

Prior to moving back to Nigeria in 2012, she worked with Arcadia Group Plc, a British multinational retailing company headquartered in London and Aspire Acquisitions. She later joined Nigerian Breweries (Heineken Operating Company in Nigeria) as a Young African Talent (YAT) and transitioned to their Corporate Communications Department as Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability Support Manager where she successfully managed various corporate social responsibility and sustainability projects. Ifedayo is also an associate member of the Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON).

With her passion for women and children, she launched Parliamo Bambini and Philos and Zoe, startups disrupting the baby and child industry through locally manufactured furniture and clothing for children with the aim of reducing poverty, empowering our youth and promoting access to quality education in Nigeria and Africa.

In 2016, Parliamo Bambini was selected as one of the companies whose idea can transform Africa by the Tony Elumelu Foundation and she is currently one of the Alumni Hub Leads for the South West region of Nigeria under the Foundation. Parliamo Bambini is also a beneficiary of the Variant Adisory and Winner of the Jumia Super Startup Competition. In 2017, she received an award from Vivian Fowler College for Girls, one of Nigeria’s best secondary schools in recognition of her contribution to women empowerment. She was also selected as a Global Shaper of the World Economic Forum.

Under the Global Shapers Community, she is the Project Lead for Startup Dome, a project launched to bridge the gender gap through socio economic empowerment of women in Nigeria. She was also selected as a mentor on a program launched by the United States Government, Young African Leaderships Initiative (YALI). In March 2018, she was invited to Harvard University to serve as a panelist during their African Development Conference to discuss the role of women in democracy and how it impacts on business in Africa.
